I have an ASA 9mm upper which is the Colt pattern.  I was wanting to know what would be the reccomended mag block to run.  Is there a mag block that allows both unmodified uzi mags and the colt pattern mags (or the new pro mags) Just want some opinions...please, no flaming for the ASA upper.

Thanks.

You cannot go wrong with a Hahn mag block.

I have a top loading Hahn mag block on my RRA 9mm A4 CAR and I'm using Colt mags, it runs good.

I have a top loading ASA mag block and have had zero issues with it. I run the modified UZI mags and the polymer promags.

I would like to use the Hann block with the bolt hold open.  The web site says it must be removed at the armory level.  What does this mean?  Anyone have some instructions or that can tell me the process?

Both the "dedicated" and "bottom" blocks hold the bolt open.  The difference is that the dedicated requires you to remove the bolt hold open latch to install/remove.  While the bottom loader is only relying on the roller in the front (which is pushed forward via a set screw that you can adjust) to prevent it from falling out.
