9mm setup help > Rimfire and Pistol Calibers

I purchased a 9mm suppressed upper (think MP5SD style) for my AR. It has sat in my safe for some time, and I want to get it out to play with it.

Please make sure I am on the correct path here.

I need
9mm bolt/bolt carrier
9mm hammer
9mm mag block

Anything I am missing?

Does it matter which mag block I go with?

As I understand it (since I'm building one myself):

You're going to want a 9mm buffer.

Is the upper a Colt system or Olympic arms?

Both will direct you towards some mag blocks to choose from. Check various threads to decide on which mag block you want.

What do you maen MP%SD style? Is it an H&K MP5 or AR?

It is an AR upper that looks like an MP5SD style, or probably more correctly a tuber upper.

Post a pic of the bolt, that will tell us which "system" you have.

For a buffer you might try an Enidine buffer instead of a 9mm buffer. Drops the recoil down to basically nothing.

No there is not much recoil, but it is kinda sharp. This is mainly due to the heavy buffers used to operate the system. You feel the slamming of the buffer more than the recoil its self. The Enidine eliminates the slamming effect, thus much nicer to shoot, especially for the ladies.
