I remember reading on here about a replacement spring (AR15/M16 conversion unit) that is a little stronger than the unit that comes from the factory. Anyone remember the name of the place to get them?


It was longer than 30 days ago so "search" came up with nothing.

Your contact is  Eric @ Lakeside Machine in WI.    He sells a spring for $5 ? , then you need to trim it to proper fit-function..

I need to get 1 I suppose, I have an old Atchison kit that has a saggy spring.

model 60 marlin recoil spring works too. i'll let you know in a few days how well it really works. once my brownells order arrives

Lakeside springs are the way to go.  Eric sells a spring kit which includes 3 extra-power recoil springs, a lighter disconnector spring and a lighter hammer spring.  I think it cost me $17.00......maybe $20.00 with shipping.

I got 100% functioning without trimming the recoil spring at all and without installing the other springs.

When I bought my springs, they were 3 for $10 shipped.  I don't cut or trim my springs, they work great right out of the box and my gun functions 100%
