I'm having a problem with my Ceiner unit. For the first god knows how many rounds it ran like a raped ape. Then I started having ejction problems. Cleaned it up really good and problem still there. Order all new springs/firing pin/extractor and cleaned it up really well. Same problem. Extracts but ejection seems to be upward into the unit itself so the bolt gets hung up. There was a little notch in my ejector towards the tip from what I think was a round getting stuck between the ejector and bolt. I filed it smooth tested again. Same problem. Anyone know what I can do. Maybe file a mm more?

hawkin,
If you take the bolt out and stick a round in the pocket on the front of the bolt -- does the extractor hold the shell in the pocket good?
Can you hand cycle the rounds and they eject ok?
If you have more than one magazine have you tried another mag to see if the problem goes away?
Since you said you replaced the extractor and you cleaned everything, did you clean the slot that the extractor fits into and the pocket that the extractor spring is in?

I had a problem similar to this and it was the extractor (I know you changed yours) and the fired shell will blow itself out of the chamber but since the extractor was not holding the shell it would hit the magazine and go up into the space between the bolt and the underside of the charge handle rail.
It wouldn't be the first time a new extractor did work in one of these Ciener units.

Sorry if none of this helps!

When my cases ejected and was caught in front of the bolt, it was a magazine problem.  I filed the magazine lips slightly and this problem never happened again.  The lips were prematurely ejecting the casings.  Do you have new mags?  If so, this may be the problem.  If you are using the same magazines (from when the kit ran well), are the feed lips deformed causing them to eject spent casings?

I'm having the same problem.  First 700 rounds, the kit ran like a raped ape (in semi & full), then all of the sudden, a spent casing would lodge up above the fresh round being chambered. I cleaned the unit, but the problem still persisted. I fired about 100 rnds in semi (through both mags) and its starting to eject properly now (well, most of the time).

On an interesting side note, when I fired the last mag in full auto, I noticed the cyclic rate go down about half way through the mag then speed up again.

I'm hoping a new recoil spring and extractor spring from Lakeside Machine will cure the problem. I may try filing down the feedlips as well.

I've been having the same problem with my kit also I'm thinking about adding some weld to the ejector which is fixed and maybe that will change the angle of ejection.  Good info as other ideas 762
