| Looking for Dimensions to add mag catch slot in UZI Mag to work in Colt 9mm. |
| I put the uzi mags in to my mag block. Once in the block I marked the cut out. I then used my dremel tool to cut the catch. I then bent the followers to get the bullets to lay flat to the feed lips. Thats how I done it, I did one mag at a time and fired weopon to see if it would work. |

Measuring from the top of the feed lip to the top of the notch isn't the most scientific way to do it, but that is what I did. I cut 15 mags. The first one was sacrificed to the mag gods. The remaining fourteen, ended up with the notch at 1.200" + or - .010. 12 of the 14 work flawlessly and 2 seem to have a feed issue with the last round, so they are my primary range mags. Are you measuring from the 9mm round itself or the magazine feed lips? Where on the the cartridge would you measure from? The highest point? Near the brass? Sorry if these are stupid questions. |
