Last year I built a 9mm AR using all RRA components.  The firearms functions 100% with Colt mags.

Now I want to build a second 9mm AR configured differently than that the first.  RRA has changed their suppliers and now uses a top loading conversion block that supposedly won’t accept the Colt mags or hold the bolt open after the last round.  So I have ordered a RRA 9mm upper, hammer, and buffer for this build.  Because of the Mag Conversion issue I have ordered a Hahn Precision Mag Conversion Block (Bottom loading).  I really wanted the use of Colt mags and the last round bolt hold open function.

Anyone here have experience with the Hahn Mag Block????  I plan on using this 9mm AR in Subgun matches and hope it will have function and reliability like the first one.

Please let me know what your experiences have been with the Hahn Block and anything I should look out for.  Thanks

For subgun matches you will need to get the rate of fire down so you can get a single round off while in "auto".  This can be hard to do even with the heavy 9mm buffer, swap it out with a rate reducing buffer like the AAC model.

With the Hahn bottom loader you may have to polish up the LRBHO transfer bar and the stock 5.56 bolt release to get them to move freely enough to activate 100% on the last round.
