Let's share our collective knowledge about .22LR AR magazines--what works with what? I can tell you that the DPMS upper will NOT work with M261 mags. "Stock" AR mags won't even lock in the gun with the DPMS upper. Dunno if DPMS mags will work in M261. Sorta doubt it--no feed ramp and a long way for the round to go. I might be able to try it this weekend if anyone cares. The DPMS and CZ mags APPEAR to be the same from pictures. Any confirmation of this? What mag did the old Colt conversion unit use? Will Ciener mags work in DPMS or CZ? The Ciener mags are based on stamped-steel mags made in either Italy or Philippines (I forget which). Are these still being made--that is, could we see these imported again after the AW ban sunsets? Also, would the AP-74/AP-15 rimfire lookalike rifles be a fit topic of conversation for this forum? I've got a couple of them and they're a lot of fun. Good shooters, too. I'll start a new thread on them if there's any interest. |
