Picked up a DPMS 22 upper and four magazines from another board member. Tossed it on a spare CavArms lower I have.

Put a PDP 6 CMP (adjustable dot size) on it and made a quick range trip.  Without any adjustment to the optic, I shot the following group of 20 shots at 25 yards offhand:

The group was about 1.5" high (there's a bull not visible in the cropped image) and that quarter will cover all 20 shots. Looks like I'm going to need to put an actual scope on this rifle to see just what kind of accuracy it is capable of.

Looks like a winner.

I have a Cav lower sitting right here. Before I opened your post I thought " .22 , That would be nice of the Cav. "

Thanks for the report

Looks pretty good.  What ammunition/weight were you using?

DavidC,

You should seriously consider shooting competition.  That is excellent offhand shooting and a seriously hard hold to group like that.

I shot competitive smallbore in high school and college. Can shoot pretty well offhand and prone, but can't do much sitting or kneeling due to way too many knee surguries.
