After waiting almost 3 months..finally got my 22 upper...mounted it onto my RRA lower..went to the range and....had all kinds of ejection problems from the very first shot fired.....cleaned after each shot as directed..shot hollow and solid high velocity ammo......got to call them (DPMS)in the morning.....any input would be greatly appreaciated....

I would not think you would have any problems, as it uses the Colt 22 kit in a modified form (ring instead of chamber adapter), which for the most part was great, 2 extractors, solid ejector on top of the mag. I have found that the goofy cut AR hammer inteferes skightly with bolt cycle, suspect the M16 hammer with its rounded top (just be sure to cut the lug off the tail) provide smoother cycle. Maybe the chamber is tight/not cut cleanly?

I was just looking into one of these.  I think there was a favorable review recently in the American Rifleman magazine.  Let us know how things turn out.

I spoke to the guys at DPMS..(they seemed very sympathic)..they said it might be the mags....so I'm going to clean them up...give the upper a good scrubbing and try it again later this week with different ammo...he suggested Federal...I was using Winchester. If the problem persists...they want the upper back for testing.....he also said that they have a new bolt configuration in the works.....maybe there is a problem...?????I'll keep you all posted.

Went back to the range today....after a complete cleanup and scrubing...had far less jams but the problem is not solved.....will call DPMS tomorrow and get it back to them to be checked out.....btw..jams aside...this is one accurate rifle....

user426, I'm sure they'll take care of this.  Did you by any chance try the Aguila 60gr. cartridge?  I'd be curious how the twist rate in this upper would do with this round and wonder also about it's feeding capabilities.

The DPMS upper uses the same 1:16 twist that normal .22 rifles use, so I expect it will shoot them as badly as any other rifle--keyholing at 50 yards.
