You guys have already answered a few of my questions but there are more. Can I use my "stock" lower with a 9mm upper and just buy a socom block and some sten mags? It just seems too easy. I'm just trying to get squared away before I take the plunge. |

If you get an Olympic pistol caliber upper, yes - the upper and a socom block are all you need. Dalphon resells Olympic uppers. If you get a Colt-style upper, (Colt, RRA, ASA), then you need a different style block, probably a different (9mm) hammer for the lower, and may need a new 9mm bolt catch, depending on the magblock you get, and whether or not you want the bolt hold-open to work. |
