I sold my first AR which I bough complete, then proceded to replace pretty much everything on. It's a mistake a lot of people make.... So did it right this time.

Just finished my first build:

Aero Precision stripped upper
Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x24
Bravo Company Charging Handle
Trinity Ordnance BCG
Ballistic Advantage barrel
Diamondhead VRS hand guard
VG6 Epsilon muzzle break
Spikes stripped lower
ALG Defense Combat Trigger
Anderson upper and lower parts kits

It was a blast and a lot easier than I anticipated. It actually went way to fast. Heading to the range this weekend to put the first rounds through her and zero that Strike-Eagle.

I don't think buying one complete is a mistake, it's a good way to learn, especially if you are new to the platform, I have two the I bought complete, one has stayed completely stock, don't shoot it much but it's there. The other well at least the lower, and lower parts kit are original minus the grip and trigger guard.

Range time and she is zero'd. I wont lie, I was a bit nervous on that first trigger pull... I mean, I know I put it together, tightened as instructed, everything in place and in working order. All good in the end.

** Damn that VG6 has like zero recoil, but it is louder than hell!
** I'm in love with the Strike-Eagle.

Other than than the castle nut being on backward, nice build.

I don't really dig the rail, but it's not my rifle.

I was not really looking into the Diamond Head at all until I got my hands on one at my local shop. The groves in the lower part fit your hand perfectly. So very comfortable!

Would you recommend the Anderson LPK?

Yes, definitely would recommend the Anderson lower parts kit. I did the version that does NOT include the fire control system and the grip. I went with an ALG trigger and Bravo Company grip.

Go through the Anderson site and it is about $30.

Picked up one of those. Light as a feather!
What BCG are you running? I went with a local company called Trinity Ordnance Nickel Boron - $150 including tax and shipping.
