| Ok, I found out where my upper was made, found the forge mark and found a list for forges. What I want to know is where are the forge marks on the lower and where can I find a list to match it too? |

Out of all of these I've only seen about 5-6. Do all of these forgers still make AR forgings as of today? What would the list look like if you removed all the forge markings that are non-existent in last 5yrs? |
| To add to the confusion, some forging marks get milled off when machining a lower, and Cerro moved theirs to just in front of the pistol grip area so it remains visible after machining and assembly. They sort of "Branded" their forgings by doing this. I used 99% Cerro in the past, but have tried Anchor Harvey, Brass and Aluminum, and a couple of smaller companies products they sent me as samples. I stick with 100% Cerro now for uppers and lowers. |
