Hello All! I couldn't find an "Intro" area to this forum. Hopefully I'm not breaking the rules immediately by introducing myself here.
Seems like every time I Google a question I have about my new AR15 this forum kept coming right at the top of the search results. Figured I should probably join as I'm on here reading enough already! I grew up shooting quite a lot with my family. I never understood the fascination with AR's... Until recently I shot my friends and had a blast! I did some research and got one the next week! Current arsenal includes: Del-Ton AR15 20 gauge single shot. New England Firearms. (First gun, got in 4th grade). 30-30 single shot. (Still can't understand how a 30-30 kicks so hard?) 12 Gauge Rem 870 10/22 Ruger 303 Lee Enfield (maybe my favorite bolt rifle, and I'm not sure why?) Hi Point 40S&W pistol (Only downside is people judging you. Very accurate) Hi Point 40S&W carbine (shares mags and ammo with the pistol) Mosin Nagant 1903A3 30-06 (almost museum quality I bought from wife's great uncle) 270 Rem 721 30-06 Rem 740 30-06 Rem 783 Thanks! |

Always happy to welcome a new member! I'd recommend becoming a paying member, it helps support the site and opens up the archives and a wealth of info. Nice collection BTW. I think you'll find as time goes on that you won't be satisfied with just one AR!
BTW, I have a Saginaw S'G' M1 carbine that was made in Grand Rapids, sweet little rifle!! |

BATFE thanks you for the updated weapons inventory. IP address logged, cross-checked with your ISP, correlated to street address and filed. Oh, and welcome from another MI resident. No worries. I understand what you're getting at. But I am not using my IP address. VPN'ed to a different part of the world buddy. |

You're low on ARs and handguns I agree! My next purchase will probably be a semi auto 22 pistol for plinking. My current AR is a "Sport Lite" version. Dang thing only weighs 5 1/2 pounds naked! I felt guilty putting a scope on it. I may go back to irons just to keep the rifle super lightweight. And either get a different upper or another AR to use the scope on. |

The "additional upper(s), same lower" strategy doesn't last long. Eventually, uppers find their own lower unless you're talking about SBRs then the strategy just last longer but it's not permanent. Be hesistant to add accessories to the AR. I see too many people with too much crap on their rifles. |

Be hesistant to add accessories to the AR. I see too many people with too much crap on their rifles. It's a constant struggle of talking myself into and then talking myself out of modifications to the AR... I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. (I go through the same thing with my Wrangler). Right now it's just a lightweight Burris scope, a comfy butt pad, and a bungee sling, |

Re: Wrangler...then you know the guy with lift kits, ext fenders, Mikey Thompson wheels & tires, hd winch, etc., that never leaves the pavement |
