Basic question: Should the safety selector be able to go into the safe mode any time, or just when the trigger is cocked? I just installed my safety control and grip and it won't go into the safe mode unless the trigger is cocked. Thanks,

Safe setting is only available when the hammer is cocked. I had the same question when I build my first lower.
