I took everyones advice and didn't buy a "cheap" red dot and instead bought a "less expensive" red dot. I went with a Primary Arms with a cantilever mount. Seems like a good set up so far.
Today I went out to the back pasture to sight it in. Measured off 50 yards and set up a paper target. After about 18 rounds I had a consistent 5" group from a truck hood. Is that decent for a red dot? Should it be better? I know I'm probably setting myself up for some ridicule but I won't know until I ask. I had just started on the back up irons when the rains came so I'll same hat for another day. Thanks in advance. |

Just relax and do 3 shot groups. |
