Thought I would drop in and say hi. New to the AR but not guns. Anyway bought my first AR it's the S&W MP 15 Sport. Getting good info from this site. Can't wait to shoot it. Anything bad that I should know about it? Did a lot of research and can't find any negatives on it.

The Sport was a good choice, it was my first AR and I've put ~5k rounds down the pipe without an issue. It will serve you well.

The Sport is my first AR too...have only put 100 rounds through it, but it's been fantastic.
The only extra I want is the carry handle.

My Sport has undergone a few changes  . I don't shoot it too much anymore as the stable has expanded quite a bit and I have other rifles I like more now, but it is a great blaster.
