It's still unfired, will get to the range when schedule allows. On the fence about the SAA BCG may replace with a BCM unit later when funds permit it. So there it is my formal intro to the sight.

Great looking rifle, very simple but functional. As far as the BCG goes, I wouldn't personally bother fix something that isn't broke!

Good looking rifle. Looks very similar to what my Colt started life as, besides the rear sight. Shoot that thing!

What she did on range today.

The 25 yard zero.

Moved the tgt back to 100 yd mark and shot 3 mags

Ammo was Remington UMC 55 gr .223 and surplus 62 gr 5.56

first target was 5.56, after zero I mixed the mags up and she shot it all 90 rounds no hiccups.

Is it bad I used to sit with the parts in the places where they go dreaming of the day when it would be complete?

Given how you shoot w/ mixed ammo?  Not @ all...

Tried different loads and brands, just trying to see what it shoots best. When I find a round that does well and is available I'll stick to that.
