The Colt reproductions are super nice, and pretty darned accurate regarding features and stampings....but now enter the issue, how does one tell an original from a reproduction?  Are there any specific markings or maybe the font used on the barrel markings or something like that?

As always, help greatly appreciated!!

The Retro Forum deals mostly with A1 models and earlier rifles, you will do better in the A2 Forum.  Pictures will help regardless of the forum you post in for questions.

Barrel mfg & receiver forging mark are your best friend.
Not sure when the barrel mfg date was introduced though.. 80’s and early 90’s barrels may not have it.

Factory assembled uppers made before 2007-2008 also have a colt proof marking near the ejection port door.
