| Hi guys Im looking for better reference pics for an early FNA2 build. I cant seem to come up with much on Goooogle pics. Wondering if any of you have a good res side to side photos of a REAL A2 so I can look at the details of the receivers. Also interested to see if the Delta rings were the dark black-gray or just black. Any info is appreciated |

Found these pics on archived thread. Below are very early FN M16A2 lowers. Note the markings were electro-engraved in dot-matrix style: http://www.fototime.com/2A89F2F8F5FE539/standard.jpg http://www.fototime.com/637CC1EB193302F/standard.jpg Later FN M16A2, with more traditional roll-stamped receiver markings. Rifle on top sports a purplish tint slip ring. One on the bottom has gray upper with matching gray slip ring, but lower looks almost charcoal gray. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c354/czshooter/Scans/11485m16a2.jpg https://ncache.ilbe.com/files/attach/new/20130131/377678/3613167/701832191/e28d2f7eff2cfd2b5d109f42abeea2c9.jpg Hope this helps! Awesome thanks, ya couple of those I had not seen before. guess im throwing my delta ring in there for Victor to match as well. Was hoping they all had black. The hand dot matrix engraving cracks me up. id expect to see that from Mexico or something LOL |

These pictures were taken after a dust storm, so the rifle was "a bit dirty". Thank you for posting those! OP - Here is a thread where MauserMatt posted great photos of two FN M16A2s. M16A2 thread |
