Thanks for the help, guys. And for the PM I received. I was more thinking complete upper. Maybe minus the BCG. I bought one years ago at the Lakeland, Florida, gun show from a guy who always had barreled surplus uppers. I paid $200. That was maybe 2009? The last time I saw surplus barreled FN M16A2 uppers (without BCG or CH) was back in 2012 when Ohio Ordnance had them for $340 before shipping. Guys here on the board here who got them said uppers had very little wear and barrel gauged almost new or as new. One member even got all Colt M16A2 upper for the same price. Those were the good old days ... sigh

Nice job jrs... awesome deal! You have to admit, that is definitely not the norm! I picked up a NOS stripped FN upper with rear sight assembly (not installed) for $130, and was very content with the purchase. Gotta' love stumbling upon killer deals.
I would expect to pay $600-$800 for a nice USGI A2 upper assembly complete, depending on condition and make, based upon what I have observed lately. There are a couple outliers either way (bidding wars are fun to observe). |

Quoted: I recently bought this one for $130 complete with BCG and CH. The bolt is marked MPF. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m8/jamesrea_2006/002_zpsyuvwmqzw.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m8/jamesrea_2006/005_zpst7p5yjzg.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m8/jamesrea_2006/006_zpscnnx7ycq.jpg I also picked up an A4 upper with the same type of BCG (bolt marked MPF) and CH for $150. Both receivers do not have feedramps. |

I remember they were all out of what they termed "very good" condition uppers so I got the "good" condition and The bore looked like it was never shot. It just had some light handling marks on the outside. I still have it. Barrel is marked FNMI and is surprisingly very accurate. Much more accurate than I was expecting. Ive only put about 100 rounds through it. Think I paid about $400 after shipping |
