Anybody know how often M5 RAS seconds get released?
Obviously, its not something KAC intentionally does but do they usually save seconds for like a once a year clearance sale or do they just sell a couple every few months? |
|
great question. I got tired of waiting and was lucky enough to find a used one for a good price locally. I actually used the 'contact us' feature on the KAC website to inquire about seconds on the M5RAS but heard nothing from them.
I'm glad I found one and I wish you luck in your quest to get a deal on one. |

I sell a lot on Calguns and Ive started selling her but I rarely if ever buy stuff used. Im hoping Sun fading isn't code for rust |

You'll see many purple anodized parts. Are you set on Knight's Armament? In addition to my Knight's M5 RAS, I have a P&S M5 RAS. |

Eh...uv exposure has some effect. I have a 6520 that's more purple on one side than the other from how it was positioned in a rack in the patrol car. Quoted:

Sun fading? Thats a new one. Thought every one knew about the purple anodizing blems????? Eh...uv exposure has some effect. I have a 6520 that's more purple on one side than the other from how it was positioned in a rack in the patrol car. Yeah but I doubt KAC is leaving the blinds open in the factory. They are seconds because the anodizing is not to spec, that is to say, it has a purple hue rather than milspec black. That was my point. However, I have not noticed any of mine sun fading and they lay in the hot sun on the shooting bench quite frequently. In a patrol car, all day, day after day? Possible, I suppose. |

| 20" BCM upper, PSA lower and an A2 stock. Was gonna go with a carry handle/Primary Army PRISM scope but I think Ill prefer just having the PRISM scope mounted directly to the upper, so just a Magpul BUIS for a rear sight. Probably get a Geissele SSA-E or DMR and a BFG VCAS and thatll be it. Maybe maybe ILl mount a TLR-1 HL but I doubt it. |

Not a perfect clone but ehh, its close enough to make me happy |

I've got one of those "seconds" RAS M5 rails that I ordered direct from KAC and I cannot find one single blemish anywhere on it. |

"Su faded".... thst is funny. After a few deployments in the sandbox, the other things fading these are rocks n' sandy gloves, bashing around the inside vehicles, and CARC paint.
Chess. Fleabay can be really cheap if you watch. On occasion you will some dumped with "buy now." |
