So I got myself a Christmas present in the form of a 2X mini ACOG. Not sure yet how its going to work out. As you see, I needed a cheek riser for it even though it mounts much lower than the TA01 4x32 series.
Its got eye reliefe out the wazoo and it allows for some really generous placement for fixed stocks.
You can choke up on it with your eye right up on the optic or you can have your eye waaay back and you can still grab the center of the mini ACOG.
I'm thinking of going with this:
For a bit of adjustment to the cheek riser.
The only problem with said cheek riser is that it makes it difficult to use the irons through the ACOGs see through base, effectively making them hard to acquire. A riser won't let you go down and get that chipmunk cheek hold like you will want should the ACOG malfucntion.
So I'm not sure if I like it just yet. A fancy new stock with adjustible comb and all that would work, but I like the lines of the A2 and A1 stocks.
