I've got all sorts of tacticool rifles and wanted to build something light and simple. Unloaded the rifle weighs right at 5lb which was actually lighter than expected/hoped. Specs are below.

Great looking rifle. That looks almost identical to the rifle I just built up a few months ago. Except I have a 16in barrel with a standard birdcage FH.
Curious if you are planning on an optic of any kind? I am kicking around the idea of an ACOG to keep it simple... But have also thought about an older Aimpoint on a carry-handle rail mount too. Reason being I shot an ACTS Match 2 weeks ago and found I was accurate enough, I was among the slow end of the field. I know it was from having to pick up a front/rear sight picture every time. I built mine to keep it simple and lightweight, which it is. However I'd like to be a tad bit faster on the uptake. |
