Greetings all. I live in the PRNY. Right now it would be easier to build my own A2 than to try to find one to buy. I have to make it NYS compliant, hence the A2 lower. Its just simpler to do it that way and I prefer them in that configuration anyway.
Ok, so I looked at Brownell's, which I should have 1st, and they are pretty much sold out of everything. I put a Bushmaster lower and complete Yankee Hill upper on back order. I was surprised I was able to order the charging handle I wanted.

Should anyone know of other sources for said parts (complete uppers and lowers), I'm all ears. I do not have the skills to completely build a rifle/carbine from scratch, so to speak, and that is probably the $$$ way to go anyway.

I am buying mine from Sarco. Be advised that some of their stuff is Military surplus (used). If you are in NYC, they aren't too far away. Another place to look is Palmetto State Armory. They have complete uppers. Assembling the lower is a piece of cake.

My A2 rifle kit had worn A2 grip and butplate, but I was able to get those new at the gushow for $10. I also felt Sarco had butchered the bolt carriers. The modified them to look like new commercial carriers. I got a new LMT carrier. I returned a few parts that looked bad, the rear sight base, windage knob, and the front sling swivel. They are supposed to return those to me. The kit was $350 and was less barrel, F sight, barrel nut, and forarm escutcheon. It was also less the lower base (of course). The A2 upper is new and I didn't see any markings on it. I also ordered a sling, bipod with case, and bayonet. My barrel is a cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel.

Palmetto State armory has kits with fully assembeld upers. I don't believe they offer an A2 upper with fixed carry handle.

Thanks 84Caddy, I'll take a look at Palmetto. I'll also be calling Brownells Monday to see when they think the upper and lower I ordered will be in. My guess is not soon with the sudden demand.
