I just completed a new build using a Mohawk Armory AR Lower, made in Midway, TN. This is about the 10th complete lower build I have completed, and I am amazed at the quality, fit and finish of this lower. I have built Colt, RRA, and other name brand lowers that were not the fit and quality of this lower. Everything fits snuggly, the magazine well is glass smooth and the mag drops without delay. The finish is harder than most, I usually end up with a scratch or two, but not with this LR. I installed a 2 stage trigger group, other lower parts DPMS, mated it with a RRA 16" HBAR M4 profile barrel with FF Quad Rail and Yankee Hill flip up sight/gas block. Glad it worked out for you.
I saw a lot of 100 of his lowers where less than 30 were useable. He, Jim, is still trying to fix the problem. And in the process there are some people who are getting screwed. The problems were the lowers were randomly either large or small FCG pins, the rear detent not drilled all the way through or drilled off center, the top shelf of the lower was so far off the upper and lower would not mate. I had considered buying a Mohawk but not anytime soon now. I am going to let him figure out the problem and get it fixed. There are cheaper lowers out there that don't have the problems his has.
