The Bushmaster M4 A2 in the 2nd pic is actually a build I put together using 100% Bushmaster Major componants with the exception of the BCM BCG,  BCM GF Mod4, and a Colt Type E Trapdoor Stock.

Fine looking FN build buddy. I myself am quite partial to FN parts, and especially A2 FN barrels. They have consistantly proven to be the most accurate in my builds....<><....:)

Looks great man! Hell of a deal for 500 bones... I am putting an FN 20"er together myself right now.

That turned out very nice.  Let us know how it shoots.  Every time I see one I want to do another.  They are fun.   Have used a few Superior lowers for previous builds.  Only downside I've ever seen is the early ones were a little snug in the magwell.  Never a problem with surplus mags but p-mags were tight.

I may eventually swap out the upper when I get another black A2 upper and use the H&R A1 for a super light CAR15 build, with para-cord straps, and who knows what.....That's why building these guns are so fun, the ease of putting them together, I put this one together in my workshop cranking 70's Rock under a drop light that was running off an inverter during hurricane Irene.

Mine is a sliver over 3 digits in the serial number and works just fine, only issue I have is the stamping on the magwell, where the Rollmark is is deeper on one side and the other is fairly light. The Serial Numbers are nice and deep, so I could give a shit. LOL

Didn't have any Rifle targets on hand so I grabbed a stack of clays and glued them to a small piece of OSB plywood. Placed them touching side by side to see if windage was off and it was shooting about 1 1/2" to the right and dead nuts elevation, couple clicks to the left and I have a very accurate Rifle. Next time I'll get some real target sheets and show you how she groups. This time out I wanted to function test and get it sited in within reason. Mission Accomplished

Good update, be sure to keep us advised of the 100 yard groupings from that fine A2 when you get some paper targets downrange...congratulations!!....<><....:)

Hipshot,  keep up the good work.  Sounds like you are having a good time and that is all that really matters.  Walmart has cheap small bore targets at least in my geographic region.  Again nice build.

Last time I went to the range I re-zeroed my FN A2 barrel at 25 meters and put a twenty round mag into a U.S. Army 25M zero target.

The first time I zeroed this rifle was with a RRA trigger group but for some reason the trigger was horrible.  It now has a USGI trigger group and feels just like my other AR's.
