Just curious if anyone has one and found they prefer certain ammo over others.
I have a new one (which I might sell or trade) which has been a safe queen. I find that with XM118 surplus (Lake City) it's a tack driver and flawless. Same with American Whitetail 150 grain from Hornady. But for some reason it hates Barnes Vor-tx TTSX 150 grain, which is my favorite round. Anyone else have similar findings? |

Mine shoots very well with Buffalo Bore 175gr and FGMM 175gr, but not so much with other rounds. I was hoping it would like Hornady match, but it does not. |

Strange considering they are suppose to feed anything. I did call LWRC. They told me that a few from this year made it out with the gas port drilled too small so there's not enough pressure for certain rounds which are off spec by a hair. They said they be happy to adjust it for free for me if it needs it.
Not sure if it does since most ammo gives me zero issues. I don't want to keep putting rounds through it though since I'm thinking of selling it. Hmm. |
| You'll do best with 168-175gr projections because of the twist rate of the barrel. Mine loved FGMM 175gr match rounds. I've only ever put 175gr projectiles through and it has been very accurate. My rifle also wants to be cleaned at regular intervals to maintain top accuracy. |

Average group off a bench was 2-3 MOA. Contacted Stag and was informed 2-3" groups was considered acceptable by them, and saw no reason to issue a RMA for my rifle. . SO i cut the bbl back to 11.5 for one of the SBR's. |

My 20" REPR liked 168g the best ..... I also found my repr to be more ammo sensitive than other 7.62 platforms I have .... I had zero reliability issues and really enjoyed the REPR but I sold mine to get a PredatOBR
My SCAR actually groups better (more consistent) than my REPR My SCAR shoots 3/4" groups and has shot down to 1/2" with FGMM (5 shot groups) |
