Do all the piston systems work the same (redirecting gas forward)? Comparing Rainier Arms Piston system to Adams Arms...????? Looking at 10" - 14.5" barrel length, any recommendations, deals, do's and don't's.....I will be using it with a suppressor. Thanks! |

I would agree. I've owned a POF, CMMG, Adams Arms and LWRC. Actually, ALL of 'em ran great. Never owned a PWS, but I've read and heard great things about them. |
| I've owned many different systems. The one that I haven't owned and very much intrigues me is the PWS. I'd love to get my hands on one of those rifles. I wouldn't own a POF if you gave it to me for free. If you like that style of system, then look at a Hogan. It's great system, but it's HEAVY. The LWRC IC looks and feels great. But, IMO, if your going to spend the money, go with the PWS. If your looking to save a few bucks and still want something of excellent quality, get an Adams Arms. Trust me though, buy a new one, don't gamble on a blemished rifle..... Their stuff is pretty solid, I've run one very hard for quite some time without issues. |
I hear ya......I saw some pictures that you posted....no way I am paying that amount on one  I am leaning toward Rainier Arms or Adams Arms upper in 14.5" length.....found them to be under $600, I am not in a hurry so if/when a better deal appear I will pick one up. I really like PWS products but they are very pricey so I'll keep my eyes open for deals.....  Thanks for all the info

| I love my 7.5 AA pistol and wouldn't trade her for the world. That being said I also love the idea of PWS and their long stroke piston system. If you have seen their bolt and piston assembly it looks nearly identical to an AK. Dang do those things look sweet/reliable/nearly unbreakable. If I ever do another piston gun I have decided it will be a PWS. |

Seriously though POF just looks ugly to me(the pictures I have seen that is), but I have always been more of a fan of function over form so if it works I would probably take one. |

You admit you have not owned a PWS but are intrigued, yet you recommend one over LWRC, etc? Also, what is wrong with a blemished AA rifle? Have you owned one that has given you problems?

Not trying to start anything with you and maybe this is the wrong thread, but why don't you like the long stroke vs the short stroke? Although my piston gun is a short stroke I was always under the impression that long stroke was indeed more robust and durable. |
