So, today I submitted Form 4's to add to my LWRC family. A PSD 5.56 and one in 6.8SPC. Hopefully I will get to play with them sometime this year!

I submitted a Form 4 in February and got my stamp 2 weeks ago. Like 4 months. My last two NFA purchases took a year!

I have a UCIW in 5.56 and love it. Built like a tank and runs like a top. When you break the rifle down and compare it to any other factory AR, the parts are just top notch. Even my buffer tube is nickel plated or chromed inside and keeps the cheese grater sound of the buffer spring rubbing against the tube when charging the rifle to a minimum.

The UCIW is nice! I want one of those as well. Yeah, LWRCs are built to last. We have an M6A2 "Operator" edition and a REPR. Love both of them!

Would love to see some pics of the inside of your buffer tube. I have a couple LWRC's and they are current gen or purchased just a few months ago and none of them have a special type of coating of any sort on the inside of the buffer tubes.

Congrats!  I was the first to get an LWRC in my group about 7yrs ago and I have plenty of friends that have "copied" me.    I always feel like I did something wrong when I come home from the range and there is nothing to clean.

I have never seen anything but a dry film lube coating on the inside of the buffer tube. Pics or it didn't happen........

The interior of the buffer tube on my LWRC M6SL definitely has a silver color to it compared to any other buffer tube on any other AR I own. Not sure if there is a special coating in there, but it sounds completely different from any of my other ARs when pulling the charging handle back and forth. No "cheese grater" sound and it is much smoother than my non LWRC ARs. With the exception of my AAC MPW 9" 300BLK because I replaced the spring and buffer with a JP captured silent. My M6SL and AAC sound and feel identical.

Here are the best pics I can get. Very hard to take a good pic. But the interior definitely does not look like the interior of any other buffer tube on my other ARs:

Well Sir, you've got me. I have no clue, does it look like something wearing out leaving bare aluminum?

No that's just a little dirt. Tube has a silver color inside, the black is dirt. The rifle has about 600 rounds through it, so it's not wear.
