| I recently purchased a S&W M&P15 (milspec) complete lower and have been looking on gunbroker for a complete upper to go with it. I've seen some uppers that were piston uppers and wondered if they would be compatible with my lower. One piston upper I saw was an Adams Arms Piston upper. I asked my father the same question and he said he wasn't sure but he thought there was a chance that I would need a different buffer if I put a piston upper on it. What are your thoughts? Would it be best to just stick to a direct impingement upper? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

You may need to tweak some parts like the buffer weight and buffer spring to get which ever upper you put on it to work 100%, but for the most part that lower should accept just about all upper assemblies on the market. |
