Is there a difference in the Adams and Osprey pistons? Sorry for the stupid question but I am new to this and looking for help.

The Adams Arms is adjustable (two positions and one for no gas/off)to reduce the amount of gas that drives the piston rod. The Osprey has a fixed gas setting as designed by the size of the cupped piston rod. The Adams Arms piston assembly can be taken out from the front of the gas block , the Osprey has to have the handgaurds removed to access the piston assembly. The Osprey has a two piece piston rod connected together by a S shaped spring clip. The Adams Arms has a one piece piston rod. The Adams Arms has both a bolted on picatinny gas block housing and lower profile pinned on gas block housing. The Osprey uses the existing front sight housing or after market low profile housing.
