| Just added an Adams kit to my bushmaster. I was looking at front sights. Can anyone tell is there a difference between the flip up gas block mounted one and the regular flip up sight? I was looking at the HK versions. |

Gas blocks are typically slightly lower than the one on the Adams Arms kits which is the same height as the rail on the upper receiver.
Bottom line - you don't want a FS designed for a gas block and you don't want anything made of plastic (e.g. Magpul MBUS). You want a metal sight designed to be mounted on a railed handguard. |

MI is more affordable but bulkier and wobbles a bit when open. |

Actually my gas block on my bushmaster is right in line with my DD omega 7.0 large. I'm running the Bushmaster gas piston they sell so that might have something to do with it as well. I run YHM BUIS occasionally and I always keep the front sight post on my gas block. It can get it real hot though to the point where you can't flip it up without burning your hand though. 
Also a big +1 on the troy sights. The YHM ones I run are based off of those and they are very solid. |
