I only see the MI rails listed on the Osprey site.  Are there any others that work without modification?

I have the MI 2 piece as I have the original Bushy Carbon 15.  I would have to send it in to have Bushy make it a free float.  It wasn't worth it to me.  The two piece is great on my carbine.  There's really no play.  I love my Osprey Defense setup.  I tried the MOE method and altering myself, that didn't go so well, LOL!  I have a few things mounted on my rails without any issues.

So no other free-floats other than MI work with the Osprey kit?  If not, does it have to be the "P" marked MI rails?

Thanks,
Frank

If you call Osprey they are suppose to have an oprod that will work with other rail systems for $25

I just got the MI rails because they work and I have installed other MI rail systems before.

Any hand guard with an inside diameter of 2" will work as long as the barrel nut is mil spec.  for rails that do not have a mil spec nut Osprey will give you a different op rod for a small fee i think (20 bucks maybe?)  Also the Badger ordinance rail will fit too from what i am told.  And no you can use other MI rails (i use the SS series) you just need to know if the barrel nut is mil spec or not

Checked today, the other op rod is $37.50 + shipping, only available directly from Osprey.

I took a dremel to the inside of a YHM Spector midlength and opened the top and bottom a bit. Now have a nice freefloat.

They really need to update their website with that info.

Got my Op-rod here 29.99

It also fits the spikes BAR rail with no modifications.

I believe it will work with some of the YHM rails as well, with some minor mods.

I don't suppose it fits under Knights Armament RAS rails?
