We’ve recently updated our base PDW Upper in order to
provide the best quality products at an affordable price.



Starting July 1st our PDW upper will now be
offered in two different configurations, a base upper consisting of a 2 piece
drop in non-free float rail and a tactical upper consisting of a 7” extended
free float rail.

using our 7” extended free float rail.
Due to the demand we began production on July 1st and will be
releasing them this month.  All of our preferred dealers will soon be
carrying this new configuration and many will take your pre-order over the
phone.

While you're talking about new and different upper configurations; do you have any plans on making something like a 10.5" or 11.5" patrol carbine upper?  While I like the size and "coolness" of the PDW upper, it really does reduce the effective range of the 5.56 cartridge.

Melvin, I'm with you.  I'm going to build a 10" gun with their kit.  I would buy a complete upper if they offered it in that length.

10.3" DD barrel, DD lite 10" rail cut to fit.  Using Spikes buffer.

Seriously....

There is a dramatic difference in the balistics on the PDW vs 16" but if you are using the PDW for what it is intended you are not going to make shot out past 25-30 Meters. For that inclose work that the PDW was designed the results are devastating. Also shooting a round like the 5.56 in an enclosed space or at close range, the pressure wave is also effective.  

That is one SEXY upper..FWIW
