The gun was a custom piece I ordered from Specialized Tactical Systems. I had them mate the upper and lower to ensure there was "NO" play between the halves. 2# Jard trigger, I added a Magpul B.A.D. lever since the pics were taken and my friend made the take down pins. I still plan to spray paint it soon. I really like your SBR's. I haven't built my trust yet so I'm stuck w/ a pistol but it is still my favorite AR thus far.

The fireball seems to be much less on the 7.62 version. My 10.5" was very accurate when I shot it the first time. I wanted the 7.5" but I may break down and get a suppressor in the future. I will take some up close pics of the op-rod assembly. The only thing I wish they had done different would be to stake the carrier bolts more. I cannot understand why more people don't buy one. I guess it leaves more for the rest of us.

Your build is very nice. The 5.56 has alot of powder to get such high velocity so it dosn't have enough barrel to burn all of it. The 7.62 has a faster burning powder. But Regular 223 and hornady tap do not make as big of a flame.

Well, we are a new company (3.5yrs old) and the uppers have only been out since spring of 09, so with any new firearms product it takes some time and alot of exposure before it is as widely accepted as makes and models that have been out much longer.  No one really new about POF or LWRC till they had been around for 5 to 6 years.  Thank you all for your support and hopefully we can get this thread to gain some traction and see some really trick stuff show up on here

It is so hard for me not to SCREAM because the way this system is made is exactly like an AK and everybody knows the operating system is one of, if not the best. I always read LWRC, Ruger, etc. etc. and these guys have nothing on PWS. All I read is what about carrier tilt and buffer problems and it goes on and on. Buy a PWS and forget it

I just bought one about 2 weeks ago. Hooked. Any weapon I will ever own that PWS makes a break for, will have a PWS break on it. It's like the Magpul B.A.D. in that it makes me contemplate "why wasn't the rifle made like this to begin with?"

I'll try to get some pics up this weekend.

the 7.62 is awesome, recoil is not bad at all, it is quieter and has less flash than the 5.56. it runs on good brass ammo or cheap wolf steel, doesn't get that dirty, and packs a big punch with 124 grains at 2000 fps. it uses any milspec 5.56 lower. all you need is 7.62 c-products mags.

Yeah but what does it do that makes it special from a stock tube? Does it stop the stock from wobbling? Is it lighter, stronger, faster?

The PWS Enhanced Buffer Tube is quite a few products rolled into one.

Prevents Carrier tilt by fully supporting the carrier from closed to full throw.  As a result there is no carrier tilt or wear pattern.

Is purpose designed with a dead blow buffer in the back of the tube to work with the db buffer on the buffer weight to cut recoil and cyclic rate by 10%  This is helpful on full auto and suppressed applications

Has Quick Detach Sling points built in on both sides.

Installs without a castle nut and goes on straight every time without the need to beat on your 1500-2000 dollar rifle to stake the castle nut after installation.

In the package deal listed on your website; is it a standard carbine-type spring?  Is there any benefit to running something like the Superior Shooting buffer spring?

Yes,

The spring in the EBT combo is a standard carbine spring.  The only times we've seen an extra power spring necessary have been with certain high pressure/low internal volume suppressors.  In normal semi auto/full auto use with a quick attach M4 can from the major manufacturers (Gem-Tech, AAC, Surefire, YHM) we have only seen the need to adjust buffer weight, not the spring weight.

Here is mine just out the the box, and then it was off to the range.
I don't know all the parts used, you would have to ask Chris for that info.
I'm too lazy to look up the paperwork.  It is a Vltor upper.
And it goes bang every time I pull the trigger and it shoots straight.
It is on a Noveske lower...

Here's a photoshopped rendering of what I'm going to put together once my Form 1 is approved.

Since the picture was taken, I have replaced the MBUS with a Knight's micro front sight.  I'm also going to add a Knight's hand stop to the bottom rail and change out the PWS brake with a Knight's triple tap.  I'm going to top it off with a CompM3.
