| Does anybody know if LMT is going to make a piston variant of their 6.8 SPC? |
|
Quoted:
I talked with them today while ordering some parts and they advised Aug/Sept. Just an FYI, they are also selling the piston bolt carrier groups now. Before you could only get them when you bought the conversion unit with the barrel etc... Yeah, just got one. Not cheap - ~$280 for the FA full group |

Not cheap - ~$280 for the FA full group I've doen a lot of research on the LMT MRP Pistons but still can't find info on one thing before I go ahead and buy it. Can you tell if that full auto piston BCG has LMT's enhanced bolt, like they sell for their regular non-piston BCG's? The LMT enhanced bolt design has a wider extractor body when you look at the side of the bolt itself. Or, if you don't mind, a few good pictures are worth ten thousand words. Thanks in advance! |

The F/A Piston BCG does not include the "enhanced" bolt. This is right. When I asked Gene why, he said they tested standard and enhanced, and they found no benefit at all to the enhanced. This is specifically the piston system he was speaking of. |
| Isn't there only one ammunition manufacturer that makes ammo specifically for spcII chambers? What happens to velocities when you run "standard" ammunition in an spcII chamber? Wouldn't they drop? And the people who ran the reamer to make there spc chambers spcII, didn't you take the chrome lining out of the chamber and throat area? |

Maby somone else will be able to answer your questions. The reason I ask is I have heard that most manufacturers are switching to the SCP II chamber. |
