In another post I bought the LWRC PSD upper in 6.8spc this week.  I sighted it in on Friday at 100yds with the T-1 Micro.  Today I shot it at Camp Perry at the annual Pop-Up Shoot.  I shot 33 out of 40 targets, which I didn't think was bad for only shooting the PSD for the second time.  (For those of you who also shot the match correct me if I'm wrong with my data.)  Targets ranged from 50,100,150,200, 250, and 300m.  Strings of 2 or 3 targets were shot at a time and I'm guessing 7 seconds to shoot 2 targets and 10 seconds to shoot 3 with one shot per target.  Checking my scores I hit 100% of the targets at 50,100,150, and 200m.  My misses were at the 250 and 300m ranges.  I did manage to adjust my sight picture by placing the red dot about a foot above the 300m targets and hit my last 2 at that range.

Overall I'm very pleased with the 6.8 PSD.  For an 8" bbl it definitely is very accurate up to 200m and hits out to 300m can be achieved once the sight picture is determined to compensate for the bullet drop.  My ammo was Hornady 110gr BTHP/WC.  I was in the prone position on a platform with a sandbag rest and forward grip on the mag well.

Was it a US Army Qual table?  Anyway, if so, shooting sharpshooter w/ a 8" rifle where you had to figure 250-300m holdover on the fly is good shootin'.

Um...where are the pics?

I believe it is similar to the US Army Qual.  I think the National Guard does their qualification on the same range.  We got to cheat though by having any optic we wanted and the targets are red and blue instead of black or green.

No pics unfortunately.  Didn't even think of bringing my camera.  My friend who is a pro photographer did take a bunch of pics of the shoot.

Well, we still want to see sexy footage of the PSD.  Send a few pics at least.
