Interesting that you went with Polymer. Magpul swears up and down that KeyMod polymer mounts will not work and that's why the "Had to" introduce the new "MLock"
What have you done to mitigate any of the issues Magpul found with polymer and Keymod's locking system? Or was the whole "Mlock" is required for polymer attachments a marketing line from Magpul? Thanks Wes |

Will this fit the old G2's? No, a Surefire Scout type light is considered an E series body/ light. A Surefire G2 is considered a G/ P series size body/ light. What I would like to see someone make is an aftermarket center section E/ P series type of mount like this. You could then source a Surefire/ aftermarket head and tail switch to use with it. |

Thanks Wes I chose polymer for this part as it was a simple design and thick enough to be strong. As far as what the other guys do if they don't think they can do something for whatever reason that's on them. I am not going to say plastic for all key mod attachments will not work nor will I say one system is far superior to the other they both have pros and cons. TROY MI |

Thanks Wes What Magpul is saying is that they cant make the handguards, or host keymod hole, out of the polymer. Because of the tapering on the inside, locking nuts pop through. |

I have to apologize, I said I'd throw it on the scale when I got it...but when it came in I was so excited and threw it on the rifle right away and locktighted it in. After I did that I realized what I did and well crap, it's already on there.
But the main piece is literally just a small piece of plastic. With the 4 screws and 2 keymod pieces I can't imagine the thing weighing more than 1-2ozs. While tightening the screws down I was a little worried of over your wing them crushing or splitting the plastic, so I went a little conservative and got them just past snug. I hope it's enough to handle the .308 I put them on. The IWC mount I was using would come loose till I put lock tight on the screws so hopefully this will stay put. |

I am building an ultra lightweight AR and 1-2 Oz is too much for a light mount. The Noveske is .8 Oz and is lowest weight I have found. The lack of a weight given for this mount is the only reason I have not purchased it.
This part is literally the last piece I need to complete the rifle. If it under an ounce my rifle will be under 6 lbs with optic, buis, sling mounts, rail covers, light and magazine. Noveske is 3x the price and out of stock everywhere. The lack of weight disclosure makes me think it might really be 2oz. which is ridiculous heavy for a keymod light mount. |
