Command Arms Accessories is proud to present our NEW M4S1 M16/AR15 carbine handguard sets the standard for a stable and rigid design by combining interlocking top and bottom handguard sections with a bottom rail that can be mounted to the existing sling swivel mount for absolute rigidity. The M4S1 handguard will not move once locked in place providing repeatable zero.

This is the first lightweight polymer handguard designed to withstand the extreme operating temperatures of a gas piston system. This extreme heat resistance is achieved by manufacturing the M4S1 from a proprietary heat resistant polymer, including a heat shield and providing significant upper and lower handguard venting in the design.  The M4S1 also works with standard direct gas operating systems.

The M4S1 includes two interchangeable lower rails of 4" & 1.75" lengths. This allows the operator to quickly change rails based on mission need. The two 1.75" side rails are removable if not required. Even with the side rails attached there is enough room left on the contoured handguard for your hand to hold it comfortably. An optional 9" long aluminum top rail attaches to the handguard and flat top rail providing a super stable platform for mounting optics and sights. The M4S1 also includes two mounting points for a push button quick detach sling swivel.

FEATURES

- 1.75" and 4" bottom rails allows for quick rail changes.

- Optional 9" aluminum top rail provides stable optics platform (M4S1T).

- Ambidextrous sling swivel mounts included.

- No gunsmithing required.

It looks great, and the design incorporates a lot of really desirable features. However, I personally feel that 100usd is to high for a polymer handguard.

I gotta be honest... Looking a little SciFi Channel to me. But if you dig it, you dig it...

This...  Seriously overpriced for what it is.  Magpul has had the MOE handguards for 30-35 bucks for awhile now.  Even if you went nuts and bought a but of rails, it wouldn't add up to 100 dollars.  Maybe the airsoft folks will flock to this???  I don't see this being a serious piece of gear when full on aluminum rail versions are priced within so close to the price of this guy...  It's priced about double what it should be in today's market.  Keep in mind, cheap aluminum handguards are as low as 70 dollars (yeah, UTG...) and range to the 150 range.  So, I put this piece somewhere in between the magpul MOE and the cheap UTG aluminum handguards.  Which, places the price smack in the middle around 50 dollars.  Ergo, half what CAA is asking.  No thanks.

Also, the CAA website is about half cocked...  Clicking on "Picainny Rail Systems" and then "M16/AR15/M4/A2" it shows stuff for pistols and AK's along with the AR stuff...

Thank you for your feedback, very helpful information.  I would like to add a couple key points in response that I may have left out in our earlier posts.  Please bear in mind when you compare the other hand guard systems with our M4S1:

- Dissipates heat better than other hand guards.  After 300 rounds the hand guard was still cool.
- Our M4S1 comes complete with all rail sections (0-3 rails included with optional top rail M4S1T).
- It also works on gas piston and direct gas systems (The one product, not 2 separate products)
- It includes an aluminum heat shield.
- It has (2) quick release sling mounting points.
- The bottom rail locks the entire system in place.
- An optional top rail attaches the entire system to
- Provide a monolithic rail that attaches to your flattop receiver.

We value all product feedback and since this is such a brand new product, we encourage you to try out the hand guard to validate the features mentioned above.  Also keep in mind that we offer a unconditional lifetime warranty and 100% customer satisfaction with all our products.

How about something that will extend the handguard past the FSB a bit for better grip on the rifle.  After all, it's just a $100 plastic handguard.  What does it do that a Magpul MOE doesn't for way less $$?

Handguard is interesting, price is hilarious.

It's equivalent to an MOE that comes with the rails. That and the nice QD points should put this around 50-70$ max.
