Guys at Rainer Arms, is there a still a waiting list for the ACR(I think the list was started for the Masada)? I got on the list way back when, just curious if you guys have kept up with that. There's a list? Hrrrrrrrm. I'd spot some money to be put on a list. |

What are those bigassed ugly cans on the muzzles of the weapons in the photos? Would not a simple flash suppressor be sufficient? It looks like a growth on the end of the barrel. ![]() Patience with the newbie, deeep breath. The "flat dark earth" colored rifle has a Noveske flash suppressor on it. (some like it, some don't) The black rifle has a sound supressor attached. (folks shooting next to you at the shooting range allways like it.) Hope this helps. Tex78 |

what are you talking about? I think he's making light of a question/comment that gets made about 100 times a day here for the past year or so. If not, and he has some direct information, he needs to IM it to me first or I will haunt his dreams with my psychic powers for several weeks. Tex78 |

So it the project scrapped now that Obama won? What's the scoop? Wow, just wow. So have you turned in all of your "assault weapons" to your local police department now that Obama won? Why would Bushmaster and Magpul who have probably invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into this project at this point just "scrap it" because of an impending administration change? Strictly from an economic standpoint, that would probably bankrupt Magpul seeing as how at this point they have netted absolutely zero return on their investment of time and money on this. For this reason alone I am sure they have much more of an interest in seeing this project reach fruition and hit the market than anyone. Politically speaking, have you or anyone else actually seen a new AWB pass through congress yet? I don't mean to be a dick, but come on man! I'll tell you, this tin hat TEOTWAWKI bullshit is really really starting to piss me off. I don't like Obama anymore than any other guy around here but it seems everyone is just rolling over and conceding defeat. |

Magpul sold there rights to BM/Cerebus.....I'm betting they recouped at least some of their money and are completely solvent. Besides, both are supplying governments and LE......they will be fine. And....the ACR is being marketed to various govt. entities so it will be profitable if it is picked up (even without our help). I think the poster was asking if Magpul will tell us if the idea of selling to civies is being scrapped.....but from what I've read from Dr. Drake....there's no indication that is the case.....seems all systems are still go and I'm still interested. Just hope it happens. I'd LOVE to own the Masada/ACR! Sean |

Reminds me of "Zubbles" a revolutionary new colored soap bubble. The color is vibrant until subjected to friction at which point it disappears (at the molecular level). So it won't stain clothes and it just disapears completly. This guy invented it and was going to revolutionize the toy bubble industry with colored bubbles. He sold the technology to a company to produce it, and then 3 years have paased that company is still just sitting on it. Maybe waiting for copy rights to pass so that they can produce it themselves? I see "Crayola color explosion" that are using similar technologies... Basically, Magpul sold to Bushmaster and Bushmaster decides not to pursue manufacture since they are fine with their milirary contracts. ACR is SOL on back burner. You really have no idea of what you are talking about... Please, do yourself a favor and at a minimum READ what both Magpul AND Bushmaster have said on the subject. Nevermind the fact that people have had their hands on pre-production models RECENTLY, Bushmaster REALLY wants to get this to market ASAP not only for any impending AWB but also because FN just released their pricing for the SCAR and it seems you can almost buy 2 ACR's for the price of one SCAR. |

Sean No they did not. They LICENSED Bushmaster to produce and sell it. This. Also the poster asked if the scrapped it, not if it was still going to be sold to civilians. Regardless though, why would they just all of the sudden say "Oh well, Obama is probably going to ban this weapon, so let's preemptively "ban" it by only selling to LE/MIL and not selling it to civilians. Even though we've been marketing the piss out of it for the last year and a half, and dumping huge amounts of investment capital into it's development." Seriously, LE/MIL sales will come no where near civilian sales. It would just be foolish at this point to choose not to sell to civilians because Obama was elected. |
