That's cool, like a modular KAC carbine receiver sling adapter
Do you think the wide sling loop sits kind of high?  Does it get in the way when one uses his left index finger and thumb to grab and pull the left side of the charging handle?

If you ever used an M93B with the Sling adapter, it's basically the same thing. I've used it with both a badger tactical Latch and standard AR15 CH without it getting in the way (I went back to the standard CH).

Anyways, this Sling Adapter is set up just like the M93B Sling Adapter.

Looks good MagPul.

Nathan

I have two GG&G carbine end plate replacements with long sling loops, I found that when I grab the charging handle by the left latch and pull back, it'd get in the way.  If I'm careful I can usually avoid it, but when we do drills and do it fast, that's not always possible, so I prefer the loop to be further down.

Is this a special run with the Stickman logo engraved on the side? If so where do I buy one? Nice products guys and Stickman's pictures do your products justice.

Glad to see it finally is going to be hitting the market. I'd known about this for a few months now and was eagerly awaiting it, needless to say. Creative way to make use of the M93 Sling Mounts.

The mounts are placed well below that of many companies single point sling mounts.  A few people have noticed that I've been running one of these on a lower since December.  There are a few reasons why I like this mount.

1.  Its well engineered.  I know that a lot of people can't get excited over a sling mount, and thats fine, but it doesn't change that subtleties are still highly important.  The angle, how it lays against the weapon, and how low it sits are all examples.

2.  Its a heavy duty piece.  That again won't mean much to some people, because there certainly hasn't been a large amount of single point sling mounts breaking lately, at least not that I've heard of.  However if you look at your carbine as a weapon, and not simply as a "gun", then you probably aren't willing to throw cheap stamped gear on your weapon and hope it won't fail.  Parts break, and they tend to break at the worst possible time. Not an issue here.

3. Its modular in its ability to go back and forth between a webbing style mount, and a snap hook style mount.  For guys who change slings around, its nice to know you don't have to pull the tube and monkey around with the receiver extension and staking.

4.  Last for now, but the most exciting in my mind is how the MMSA locks together.  More than simply being another end plate, it runs a allen head set screw underneath with locks into place against the castle nut.  Thats right, it locks itself into place, and self stakes.  To me, thats a big deal as I have seen buffer tube/ receiver extensions come loose in courses due to weak or nonexistent staking jobs.

Anyway, thats my thoughts on the new Magpul Modular Sling Adaptor (MMSA).  I'll continue to run my early preproduction model, but I'll be picking up a new one as well for an upcoming build.

This picture should show that there is a decent amount of clearance for times when the CH needs to be slapped like a mule.

I had the same concern as Duffy when I first saw this sling mount.  However it looks like it's good to go.
