yeah the buyer is trying to restore an original 601 that had several parts swapped out.

That was my assumption when the bidding started to climb above the $1,500 range. Clean, but used set for a FA 601. There were a couple Fa 601's that have sold on GB this year that needed to be restored.

Was it for the one that was recently on Gunbroker? Missing original furniture and lower parts? It didn't sell on Gunbroker but looked like a fair deal.

don't think it was that recent. it wasn't missing parts, just had updated parts.
