That ensemble was mine for many years. It took a long time to gather. The seller is great to deal with.

I misread that--thought you were the one selling it this time.  So how long ago did you let it go?
It really is a great collection!

I suppose it's possible, but I have never run across any.

So lets talk about this unique barrel profile for a minute. I have seen some funky stuff on profile and markings under the hand guard, but never in the front like that. Thoughts?

Entirely possible. It looks so clean and deliberate though. I wish kkids early barrel picture thread had taken off and stuck around. Here is one that looks like he was running long with no or a loose center and dull cutter.

I'm almost certain that scope is for an original AR-10 as it's marked with the Artillerie Inrichtengen logo.
A 601 scope would have a Colt logo, I'd think.

I asked the seller if the scope was a modified AR10 model and he said it was not.

AI made both the AR10 scopes and the original AR15 scopes.  (Also similar scopes for FALs, but that's another story.)
The easiest way to differentiate between AR10 and AR15 scopes (other than the mounts, and the reticles) is the adjustment markings on the bodies--specifically above the eyepiece.  The basic design, however, and size, etc, is the same.
The Delft scope in the linked sale is original (for AR15).  To be honest, though, I'm not sure that the pouch with the scope is the original one.

Below are my Delfts so you can see the difference in markings.
