I never knew that Colt made handcuffs, but after a little research, I discovered that Colt made these from 1971 to 1973, and there is a first & second model-this being a first model. They sold new in 1971 for $14.95, yet in typical Colt fashion, they are now worth up to $1000 new in the box, and about $400 for a used set like this. I'm going to hang these on my gun rack next to my GAU, like they could have been issued to an Air Force MP.

Thanks for sharing. This I didn't know. Wow! $1K for NIB cuffs. Wonder if made in house or just tagged Colt by another sub. Cuffs are something I Know nothing about except I don't care much for them.
Seen some, not a lot of Colt tagged electronic equipment over the years mostly panels and disconnects but seen a couple chargers, rectifiers / inverters and such Colt Hartford, Ct tagged. Don't see much of that any more as obsolete and most long trashed/worn out. Doubt if they actually made it but it wore their tags. May be a bunch of it still out there in the 3rd world. Last I saw in any quantity I was replacing it in the Federal Reserve building in Washington DC probably 7-8 yrs ago and they still had some operational. Might have a pic or two on an old camera phone. Thanks for sharing the tank pics in other thread also. Way super duper cool! A birdie had told me you had some rather cool stuff reason I posted on the faux thread. Would a $million even buy an authentic running Panzer today? |

That is pretty cool, my Grandfather who was a city cop in WA actually used a set of Colt Cuffs for his work.
I know Colt has branded many things over the years, I seen a electrical box lost summer at a garage sale that had the Colt logo on it and inside it stated it was manufacture by Colt firearms corp. |
