Picket this up in Colorado last week.

No markings on the 24: barrel and it has a cast front sight base. I have already swapped it out for an FN barrel assembly I had until a C MP Chrome Bore comes along.

Interesting modification but it certainly handles better with an A1 barrel.

That looks like a bushmaster muzzle break they used during the AWB. Interesting, what did you give?

Nice find. I do like the look and feel of  triangular hand guards.

Thanks for sharing.  Definitely a little different and appropriately named.  "AR Musket"

Never seen a BM with a cast FSB personally.  Leaning toward Oly on FSB.  BM did offer a couple different flavors of 24" barrel in both NM Hbar in 4150 CMV steel and in stainless steel.  The stainless I've handled were fluted also with a chopped to low profile FSB.  I know Model 1 Sales still advertises the 24" as an alternative but never done much with Model1 except look at the ads.

The longer barrels never were very popular in bigger picture unless possibly Bull profile and I have passed on more than a few BM A-2 uppers with the 24" NM barrels n the $300ish range used.  Don't see them much any more.  BM 24" NM barrels originally were in the $205 range and BM NM barrels do not have any markings on them but were 1/9 twist,  same as stainless barrels.  The DCM 20" was 1-8 twist and I still have a couple of those and although very accurate kinda just collect dust now days.
