Yes, I know it ain't a retro upper, but I'm not going for a 100% retro build. Anyone know if this upper:

The upper assembly you are looking at should accept the triangle handguards with no problem at all since it has a gov. profile barrel and a triangle front end cap. Should end up looking just like the flat top upper on a modern/retro-ish styled rifle which I have pictured below:
