Howdy y'all!

I think I'm sinking deeper into the dreaded RBRD.
Slapping an A1 upper onto an A2 lower no longer alleviates the symptoms!

I've picked up a few 80% lowers from Tactical Machining and would like to have one re-profiled and get it engraved with some retro-ish "roll marks".

I've seen the name "braceman" tossed around when this type of work is discussed, but, for the life of me can not find a way to contact said individual. Is he a member here?
Any help would be appreciated

Thank you!

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to do a member search for this place!

Yes, I'm a n00b!

edit: I see I'm not the only one!

Braceman has done 5 for me all from TM.  His work is 2d to none.

Or you could buy an 80% lower from us and have braceman engrave it.

I see what you're doing there....

Actually, depending on what is more cost effective, I may still do that.

I've used NoDaks 80 percenter when I wanted the most authenticity. They aren't the least expensive route, but offer details that few, if any, other 80's have. In particular, I like that they leave the heavy forge line inside and behind the trigger guard area. I've also reprofiled the bolt release pin bosses, and used a large milling cutter to redo the slot between the frt pivot pin ears......but those two mods are relatively easy to do.

Also.  If you are doing a 601, 602, 607 any slab side, you want a Nodak for the + on the right side.

Another option out there too is member DZyner I see both his and Johns work come across my bench regularly for threading jobs and I honestly don't know who's I like best. John can re-profile and does a wonderful job of it, whereas Rog just engraves. My builds are about 50/50 Rog and John and I am pleased with both equally

Rog did a few A2 lowers for me. I was quite happy with the results.

I love the detail on the pin wheel

You can tell they use different cutters Rogs stuff seems to be a finer more crisp cut on the fonts with just enough wander to almost look like a sharp stamp.

Johns on the other hand has changes in depth like you see from the roll marks.

I think they are both outstanding
