Hello fellow RBRD sufferers:
I recently purchased a stripped 604 upper & am torn between a carbine or rifle. I just bought a Colt pre ban carbine, but am thinking I can't decide what to do with this 604 upper.....I have a 20" Green Mountain barrel.....but I've always wanted to make a GAU Air Force 649. Help! 
I know what's going to happen....I'll buy another 604 & make both...

2nd the 605 idea.I started with a 604,then picked up a 605ish upper. It had a C7 upper receiver and the barrel is 16" instead of 15". I have a slickside upper coming from Fulton that will go on it. I'll leave it 16" to keep from dealing with NFA. The extra inch should make it more reliable functioning.
