Early marked circle with one inside or Armalite / Colt marked have collector value but as with everything collectible, condition is key. NIW older mags are generally a hard sell at much more than $20 ea. Ban states, I wouldn't call collector value but the mags are worth more in those than free states. Most that even use them won't pay over $10 for surplus aluminum follower 20 rd mag unless they simply want one to go with their retro build, want one of various mfg's or have more coins than brains.
Modern production such as Brownells or NHMTG are a much better deal for actual shooting. If one wants the retro look swap out the early floorplates as that's about the only part that isn't or won't wear out unless damaged. |
