size difference is throwing me off a little, But the chrome one appears to be a 601 full round carrier.

The chrome one IS a full round 601 carrier. The parked one is a late 602 or early 604 carrier.

The parked carrier has late only staking on it, I think all non serrated carriers were produced before late staking so the gas key could have been added / replaced later.

I'm sure you guys know but the size difference is the way I had them angled on the table making the rear carrier look smaller. The gas key on the park carrier is a lot darker than carrier body. The carrier doesn't really show wear but the gas key does.

602s never had parked carriers

Parked 604 carriers were produced from 65-67.

So the thoughts are that the park carrier is a 604? What would 602 have came with? I've also got a park carrier with chrome gas key any ideal on it?

602 came with chrome slick side with 1/4 round carrier key and square stake marks IIRC.  The parked slick side with chrome gas key were found in early 604's during the transition from chrome carrier key to parked carrier keys.  I picked one of these "trannies" up from the the same seller you got your two carriers from.  But I missed out on the 601 carrier
